MEHFIL BANQUET HALL

Redesigned the identity for Mehfil Banquet, addressing the problem of an overly minimal and undefined brand that lacked cultural presence, hierarchy, and visual distinction. The project focused on building a cohesive identity system rooted in Punjabi wedding culture, translating themes of celebration, tradition, and richness into a refined visual language. Through the development of a custom logotype integrating Devanagari-inspired forms with legible English structure, the design balances authenticity with accessibility. A controlled color palette of deep burgundy, gold, and white reinforces a sense of luxury and warmth, while typographic hierarchy and supporting elements establish consistency across applications. The final system elevates the brand into a recognizable, premium identity that aligns with the scale and experience of a modern banquet hall.

PROCESS

The Mehfil project began by addressing the lack of structure and cultural presence in the original identity. Research into Punjabi wedding traditions, symbolism, and visual language informed a more intentional direction. Logo explorations focused on merging Devanagari inspired forms with Latin letterforms, refining alignment, stroke weight, and overlap to ensure both cultural expression and legibility. Iterations also explored hierarchy, spacing, and consistency across touchpoints. A rich but controlled color palette was developed from themes of celebration, food, and tradition, alongside typography that could carry both elegance and clarity.

SOLUTION

The final identity establishes a cohesive and elevated brand system that feels rooted in culture while remaining clean and contemporary. The refined logo balances expression and readability, supported by a consistent typographic structure and a warm, inviting palette. Together, these elements create a unified visual language that positions Mehfil as a premium and memorable banquet experience.
